Texas: 8 people were killed in a shooting in a shopping center in the US state of Texas, the attacker was also killed by police firing.

According to US media reports, a gunman opened fire at a shopping mall in Dallas, Texas, killing eight people.

The incident happened at a mall in Allentown, where witnesses said a man fired indiscriminately at people. Police say the shooter was also shot and killed.

After the incident, hundreds of people were evacuated from the mall, 7 people have also been injured in the firing, among the dead are some children, while the condition of 3 people under treatment is critical.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott called the shooting an unspeakable tragedy.

US police have appealed to the public to contact the FBI if they have made a video, so that evidence can be gathered.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, there have been at least 198 “mass shootings” in the U.S. so far this year, incidents in which four or more people have been killed or injured.
