6 years later “Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension” supposed to mark the definitive end of the franchise, the lucrative success saga orchestrated by Jason blum already seems to be back. Even if the filmmaker had assured to want to close the intrigue of his planetary success launched in 2009 (Oren Peli’s debut film raised $ 190 million in revenue for a $ 15,000 budget), a reboot will quickly see the light of day. The methodology remains the same: to offer a film on a micro-budget to ensure maximum profitability.
For this seventh opus, it’s the filmmaker William Eubank (Underwater) that we find in the realization. Subtitle “Next of Skin”, this new Paranormal Activity will come out on Paramount + and will tell the story of a cult with new evil possessions even though this artistic direction cannot yet be confirmed. On the form, the film will leave this found-footage aspect to move towards more traditional shots. In addition, the feature film will be R-Rated, which means the movie will only play on suggestion and should play on visual horror all the way.
The film will be released on October 29 on the Paramount + platform. No information for the moment concerning the release of the film in French theaters.
