A few days before the wedding, the girl was abducted, the video of the forced marriage went viral

Jaisalmer: In India, a few days before the wedding, a video of a bride being kidnapped and forcibly married in the middle of the desert has gone viral.

According to Indian media, a 23-year-old young woman was abducted a few days before her wedding in Jaisalmer district in the northwest of Rajasthan. The video went viral.

In the viral video, it can be seen that the victim girl is asking for help while going around the fire and performing the marriage ritual while other people and a woman are also present around.

Regarding the incident, the local police said that the family alleged that the accused forcibly took their daughter from outside the house, during which he forcibly married her and made a video of her.

The family says their daughter was abducted by a group of men from outside the house on June 1.

The girl was rescued the same day and the main accused identified as Paspinder Singh (28) has been sent to jail, police said.

However, on Tuesday, some miscreants circulated the video on social media platforms.

After the video went viral, the girl’s family staged a protest outside the district collectorate office in Jaisalmer and demanded action in the matter.

The family says that my daughter’s marriage is scheduled on June 12 and the accused are constantly threatening us to disrupt her marriage.

The family alleged that the police had arrested only one accused while others were roaming free.

The police say that the property of the accused will be confiscated, and the absconding accused will be arrested soon.
