A device it was charging causes a fire at Nintendo’s headquarters

Several fire trucks headed to Nintendo’s Kyoto headquarters after a building fire.

According to the police, the fire started on the third floor and partially burned several tables and chairs, but luckily no one was hurt.

Although police and firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire, it is believed that the small fire was started by an electronic device that was charging.

Coincidentally, just a few days ago, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa explained to shareholders that the company has contingency plans to deal with natural disasters or contagious diseases.

Japan is located in the most active seismic belt in the world and, in addition, is experiencing a record summer in which the temperature exceeded 35ºC in several days.
