A 48-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman died after both were rescued from a burning house Saint Lucia, cannelloni. The man had reported his partner to the police for domestic violence.
The woman had a history of domestic violence. Then there was a second appeal, the judge granted the woman measures, which were later overturned because the man showed up and asked for dismissal.

Canelones headquarters spokesman Alejandro Ferreira said the deaths were being investigated as murder-suicide. The public prosecutor’s office requested an autopsy of the bodies and is awaiting the results of the investigation.
Specifically, the woman had a previous conviction from 2022 for domestic violence and contempt. And in 2023 the man reported her again for domestic violence.
Police said a 12-year-old teenager, their son, left the house after the fire.
