A case has been registered against the groom who arranged marriage with twin sisters

A case has been registered against an Indian citizen who married two twin sisters together.

Recently, in the Indian state of Maharashtra, a man married two twin sisters at the same time. The photos of this strange wedding went viral on social media, which also attracted the attention of the police.

Senior police officer Shresh Sardesh Pandey told news agency ANI that a case has been registered against Atul Otaday under IPC section 494 for marrying twin sisters together. That is illegal and punishable with imprisonment of seven years.

Indian citizen Atul Uttam Otade married two sisters Rinki and Pinki at the same time on Friday, December 2 in Solapur, Maharashtra. A video shows him performing the traditional “varmala” or garland ceremony.

The National Commission for Women and the Maharashtra Women’s Body have also demanded action against the two sisters and the groom.

According to reports, Atul and the twin sisters have known each other since childhood. The two sisters became close to him when he took their mother to the hospital in his car. Both Rinki and Pinky are IT engineers and their families also did not object to this marriage.
