Badghis: A bomb blast at a mosque in Afghanistan’s Badghis province killed one person and injured 15 others.
A bomb blast near a mosque in the central city of Qala-e-Naw in the Afghan province of Badghis has killed one civilian and injured 15 others, according to details.
Afghan media say many of the injured are in critical condition, leading to fears of an increase in the death toll. The injured included three children. All the injured have been shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.

According to Afghan media, the blast took place after Friday prayers. The worshipers were leaving the mosque when a loud explosion took place at the gate.
Baz Muhammad Sarwari, director of information and culture in Badghis, confirmed that an explosion had taken place at the entrance of the Jamia Masjid in Qala-e-Naw an hour ago. The injured were taken to the provincial hospital.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the blast.
