Everything that surrounds the arrival of Formula 1 to Miami makes it very special. The second date of the year in the United States, together with the one in Austin in October, is key to the expansion in the American market and the show promises to live up to it. But the visit to Florida will also be important for women with the start of the third season of the W Series, the women’s championship that will go hand in hand with F1 throughout the season and that has the three Spanish that were already in 2021: Nerea Martí and Marta and Belén García.
The weekend at Hard Rock Stadium will also be big for the women, who start their season with two races: the first, on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Spanish time and the second, on Sunday at 4:35 p.m. In addition, they will have full prominence as a support championship because neither F2 nor F3 have traveled to Miami, which celebrates the only double of the year along with the final event in Mexico. The 18 drivers are divided into nine teams, with the Spanish in CortDAO (Marta) and Quantfury (Nerea and Belén are teammates), and they all compete with the same single-seater under different colors, the Tatuus F3 T-318, but there is one clear favourite: Jamie Chadwick. But the three Spaniards have the talent to stand out on a grid with five rookie: Tereza Babickova, Bianca Bustamante, Chloe Chambers, Emely De Heus, and Juju Noda.
