A 61-year-old man was murdered in the city early Tuesday afternoon Rivera. He had an argument with his neighbor, a young 22 years old who attacked and killed him with a machete.
The victim suffered multiple injuries to his head, arms, stomach and knees. He was taken to a private mutual insurance company in serious condition but arrived dead at about 2:25 p.m.
The murder occurred in front of her home in the Paso de la Estiba neighborhood. When police arrived, they moved the victim and arrested the young man, who admitted to arguing with the man and attacking him with a machete with a 35-centimeter blade, according to police information he referenced had accessed. Underlined.
The murderer is available to the public prosecutor and will appear before a judge this Wednesday.
