As if it were a prank straight out of a movie, a 12-year-old boy stole a forklift, sparking an incredible police chase across the US.
It was 6:45 p.m. on November 25th when police officers received a call from Forsythe High School in the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The uniformed officers were alerted that a young man had stolen a vehicle used in the construction industry.
What wasn’t expected was that the student managed to control the forklift, forcing authorities to launch an entire operation to recover it.
This vehicle can weigh more than 15 tons and is used in construction to transport or lift heavy loads to great heights.

The chase lasted more than an hour.
Police began a chase through the streets of this city with sirens and high speeds.
The CBS broadcaster claimed that the young man crashed into about ten vehicles parked on the street.
More than an hour later, police reported the boy pulled over around 7:53 p.m. and was quickly taken into custody.
In a video captured by a patrol camera, the child can be seen driving through a residential area with this charger. It can also be seen that he is being pursued by several police units who have turned on their sirens.
Additionally, no one was injured during the chase, but authorities decided to open an investigation into the incident.
The first versions say that the boy opened the forklift with a key hidden in the cabin.
“The driver was identified as a 12-year-old boy from Ann Arbor, taken into custody and subsequently booked into the juvenile detention center. “No one was injured during the chase,” Ann Arbor police said.
Due to the seriousness of the incident, the authorities opened a criminal investigation as this incident could have given rise to regret.
