Viral Star Monalisa Accuses Director Sanoj Mishra of Abuse

Monalisa Bhosle, the internet personality who gained prominent visibility at the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, publicly accused film director Sanoj Mishra of repeated inappropriate behavior during the production of her debut film. Speaking at a press conference in Kochi, Bhosle stated that Mishra touched her with malicious intent during filming schedules in Nepal and Mumbai. She reported physically confronting the director on both occasions.

Bhosle noted she informed her family about the incidents at the time they occurred, but was advised to remain silent because the project, titled The Diary of Manipur, marked her first role in the entertainment business. She stated that Mishra is currently spreading false information and inciting threats against her and her husband, Farman Khan, and confirmed she is considering filing a formal police complaint against the director.

The allegations against Mishra arrive amid an ongoing legal and social dispute regarding Bhosle’s recent marriage to Khan. The couple married at a temple in Kerala earlier in March 2026 against the wishes of Bhosle’s Madhya Pradesh-based family. During the Kochi press conference, Bhosle denied allegations that she had been abducted by Khan, asserting she is legally over 18 years of age and stating their relationship was not based on religious conversion.

Khan appeared alongside Bhosle to confirm he recently secured a High Court order granting him protection from arrest in connection to a case filed by the Uttar Pradesh Police. To counter claims made by right-wing groups, including the Vishva Hindu Parishad, which released a birth certificate alleging Bhosle was born in December 2009, Khan presented her old and new Aadhaar cards to the media to demonstrate her date of birth remains consistent across official documents.

Director Sanoj Mishra, who has publicly criticized the couple’s marriage, faces a separate documented history of criminal allegations. In late March 2025, Mishra was arrested by Delhi Police after his bail was denied in a case where a 28-year-old aspiring actress accused him of repeated rape, assault, and forced abortions over a four-year period. Bhosle initially entered the public eye in early 2025 when a video of her selling rudraksh garlands went viral online, leading to her casting in Mishra’s film.
