NHL Reporter Jessi Pierce Dies In Fatal Minnesota House Fire

Jessi Pierce, a prominent sports reporter who covered the Minnesota Wild and the National Hockey League, died alongside her three children in a house fire in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, early Saturday morning. Authorities confirmed the fatalities following the blaze on the 2100 block of Richard Avenue.

First responders arrived at the scene shortly before 5:30 a.m. local time on March 21 after neighbors reported flames breaking through the roof of the residence. The local fire department described the scene as a fully involved structure fire. The family dog also perished in the incident, and the exact cause of the fatal fire remains under active investigation by local authorities.

The tragedy sent shockwaves through the sports journalism community over the weekend.
