Dhurandhar 2 Hits ₹501 Crore As Punjab Mansion Steals Spotlight

Dhurandhar: The Revenge crossed ₹501 crore at the global box office this weekend, driven by intense fan reception following its March 19 release. As audiences dissect the four-hour project, one of the film’s most heavily discussed set pieces—an estate purported to be in Lyari, Pakistan—has been revealed as a real-world luxury property located in Amritsar, Punjab.

The revelation strips away the movie magic to highlight a 16,000-square-foot structure named Ananda. Designed by 23DC Architects and completed in 2024, the property serves as the primary battleground for a critical confrontation between characters Yelina (Sara Arjun) and Hamza Ali Mazari (Ranveer Singh), blurring the lines between high-stakes entertainment and luxury real estate.

The Indian architecture firm publicly claimed the location through a video release, thanking director Aditya Dhar and the lead actors for their screen presence. The firm noted that the modern Amritsar home was originally built for a client prioritizing environmental preservation and traditional Indian aesthetics. The estate features courtyards, a living room overlooking a swimming pool, and black marble staircases, which doubled as Mazari’s lavish hideout.

Utilizing Punjab to substitute for Pakistani locales remains a consistent creative strategy for the franchise. The original 2025 installment previously transformed a 19th-century Lal Kothi in Amritsar to represent the Karachi residence of Rehman Dakait.

The domestic and international box office momentum reflects a massive cultural footprint. According to NDTV, the sequel is dominating ticket sales, tracking a staggering ₹501 crore milestone by its third day in theaters. Industry veterans have praised the project, with director SS Rajamouli calling Singh’s performance a masterclass in acting.
