Emmy-winning actor Shawn Hatosy announced his upcoming directorial debut for the second season of the Max medical drama The Pitt during a Friday appearance on the Today show. Hatosy’s current projects represent a stark divergence in character profiles. In late 2025, he secured the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Dr. Jack Abbot, a night-shift emergency room doctor and military amputee. In the newly released slasher sequel, he pivots to the role of Titus Danforth, a volatile and psychopathic family heir.
