Doughmore Bay secured a victory in the 14:25 JenningsBet Handicap Hurdle at Uttoxeter, navigating a 17-runner field to win at a 16/1 starting price. Jockey Ben Jones guided the Emma Lavelle-trained entry across the two-mile, seven-furlong, and 70-yard course on soft ground to claim the primary share of the £38,580 prize fund.
The 5/4 favorite, A Pai De Nom, trained by Dan Skelton and ridden by Harry Skelton, finished in second place. Santos Blue, another 16/1 shot ridden by Ben Sutton for trainer Olly Murphy, secured the third-place finish in the Class 2 hurdle, which featured horses aged four years and older across the afternoon sports program.
