Portuguese Football Match: Free Entry for Food Donations

A Portuguese football club is offering free admission to an upcoming match in exchange for donations of non-perishable food, aiming to support disadvantaged communities during the festive season.

Clube Desportivo Feirense is collaborating with their opponent, Académico de Viseu, for the initiative. Fans attending Sunday’s match at Estádio Marcolino de Castro will receive free entry upon donating items.

The collected goods will go to those in need during what the clubs described as a festive month. This solidarity drive targets the 13th round of the Liga Meu Super season.

Donors can contribute staples such as rice, cereals, pasta, flour, olive oil, and cooking oil. Collection points will be set up at the stadium entrance on game day.
