The actress took to Instagram on Wednesday, December 3, captioning a series of images "The life of a showgirl." These photos offered an unusual glimpse into her life as a new mother.
One image showed Millie, 21, and her husband Jake Bongiovi, 23, embracing. Jake held their daughter in the picture.
Another snap featured Millie holding her baby, whose face was covered with a bunny emoji. She appeared to smile alongside her father-in-law, Jon Bon Jovi.
A further photo depicted Millie holding her daughter by a swimming pool. Comments from brands like Ulta Beauty and Florence by Mills quickly poured in.
The Instagram posts also included clips of Millie on the set of Stranger Things Season 5. Netflix premiered the new season on November 26.
One black-and-white photo captured Millie smiling with her co-star Noah Schnapp in a car. Schnapp, 21, is the godfather of her daughter.
Millie revealed this detail during the red-carpet premiere of Stranger Things. She told Entertainment Tonight that her castmates adopt "sweet, soft versions of themselves" around the baby.
Schnapp expressed his joy about Millie’s motherhood. He said it was "really incredible to see her go from being an innocent, giggling child to now being a mother and being married."
Millie and Jake married in 2024 after a two-year relationship. They had previously kept their daughter’s name and identity private.
The actress explained her decision to British Vogue in a November interview. She stated it was crucial to "protect her and her story until she’s old enough to possibly, one day, share it herself."
She reiterated her commitment to not intentionally put her daughter in the spotlight. "As her parents, it is our duty to protect her from that," she said.
Millie also confirmed she changed her full name after becoming a mother and wife. She disclosed her new name during a YouTube interview for VT in November.
During the interview, Schnapp initially misstated her name as "Millie Bonnie Brown." Millie clarified, explaining she had removed "Bobby" and "Brown" from her previous name.
Her new full name is simply Millie Bonnie Bongiovi. She and Jake live on a farm in Georgia with their newborn.
Atlanta holds special significance for the star, who filmed Stranger Things there. She called it "the place where I’ve been the longest consecutively in my life." For her, it is home.
