Bollywood star Akshay Kumar’s niece, Simar Bhatia, is set to make her acting debut. Her first film, titled “Ikkis,” recently unveiled its official poster.
Kumar shared the poster with a deeply personal message on his social media. He expressed immense pride in her journey to the big screen.
“Ikkis” is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan.
In his post, Kumar reflected on Simar’s growth. He wrote, “From holding you as a little child to seeing you step into the world of films today… life has truly come full circle.”
He continued, “Simar, I have seen you transform from that shy child who used to hide behind her mother to a confident young woman who stands in front of the camera as if she was born for it.”

Kumar also offered encouraging words for her challenging career path. He stated, “The journey is surely difficult, but I know you will move forward with the same sparkle, the same truth, and the same stubborn spirit – which is the identity of our Bhatia family.”
He emphasized the family’s work ethic. “Our principle has always been simple: work hard, work from the heart, and then watch the magic of the universe unfold itself,” Kumar added. “I am very proud of you, beta… the world is now going to meet Simar Bhatia, but for me, you have always been a star. Go, shine! Jai Mahadev.”
Simar Bhatia is the daughter of Akshay Kumar’s sister, Alka Bhatia.
Alka Bhatia, a film producer, initially married Vaibhav Kapoor in 1997, and Simar was born from this marriage. Alka later married real estate magnate Surendra Hiranandani in 2012 after separating from Kapoor.
