Brazil Secures Three Slots in CS2 Budapest Major Stage 3

Brazilian esports teams are set to dominate the next phase of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, with three squads advancing to the tournament’s third stage.

Imperial secured its spot after the final Stage 2 matches concluded on Tuesday, December 2. It joins previously confirmed powerhouses FURIA and paiN Gaming.

The tournament, featuring the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) title, will see all three Brazilian teams begin their Stage 3 campaigns on Thursday, December 4. Their initial matchups are high-stakes, best-of-one contests.

Imperial is scheduled to face The Mongolz at 12:00 UTC. paiN Gaming will play against 3DMAX at 14:00 UTC. FURIA will complete the day’s Brazilian lineup, taking on Natus Vincere at 15:00 UTC.

The path to Stage 3 was not without casualties for Brazil. MIBR was eliminated after losing all three of its series in Stage 2.

Eight teams advanced from Stage 2. These include FaZe, Natus Vincere, PARIVISION, Imperial, B8, Passion UA, Team Liquid, and 3DMAX.

They join the eight pre-qualified teams. These are FURIA, paiN Gaming, Vitality, Falcons, MOUZ, The MongolZ, Spirit, and G2.

The Stage 2 confrontations concluded on Tuesday, December 2, determining the final lineup for the next phase of the global competition.
