Veteran actor Rajinikanth was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The prestigious recognition celebrates his remarkable 50-year career in cinema.
His daughter, Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth, shared her joy and pride on social media following the event. She posted several photographs on Instagram, dedicating the special moment to her father.
Aishwaryaa expressed immense gratitude in her caption. She noted her heart was full as she celebrated her father’s half-century in film. She felt “everything was achieved” standing there with her team and family.
She concluded her post by thanking God and all the fans. Her shared images included poses with her father, a picture with their entire family, and a shot of Rajinikanth receiving his award.
Beyond Rajinikanth’s honor, IFFI also marked significant centennial anniversaries. The festival paid tribute to iconic figures such as Guru Dutt, Raj Khosla, Ritwik Ghatak, P. Bhanumathi, Bhupen Hazarika, and Salil Chowdhury. Restored versions of their classic films were screened for attendees.
The Indian Panorama segment highlighted the diversity of Indian cinema. It showcased 25 feature films, 20 non-feature films, and five debut films. These selections brought a variety of voices and narratives to the forefront, emphasizing their importance to the industry.
