Two-time Olympic boxing gold medalist Kellie Harrington will headline an international tournament in Portugal next month, elevating the profile of an event expecting athletes from three continents.
Harrington, who secured gold in the -60 kg category at both the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games, is set to be the main attraction at the 8th Odivelas Box Cup. The event is scheduled for December 4, 5, and 6.
It will take place at the Odivelas Multipurpose Pavilion, with free admission for all spectators.
The Odivelas Box Cup is an International Olympic Boxing Tournament featuring three days of competition. It will host male and female athletes in the Elite category.
Organizers anticipate more than 100 male and female athletes will participate. These competitors will represent 10 countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
The Privilégio Boxing Club organizes the tournament in partnership with the Odivelas City Council.
