Music composer Palaash Muchhal has made his first public appearance following the postponement of his wedding to cricketer Smriti Mandhana. He was recently spotted at an airport.
Muchhal’s private life has been a topic of public discussion. His wedding to Mandhana was initially scheduled for November 23, 2025. Pre-wedding ceremonies had already begun.
However, the wedding was unexpectedly postponed. This decision came after Mandhana’s father suddenly fell ill and required hospitalization. Reports later indicated that Muchhal himself also experienced health issues and was hospitalized.
In his first public sighting since these events, Muchhal appeared noticeably fatigued. He walked with his gaze directed downwards. His mother accompanied him, seen smiling and cheerful despite the circumstances.
A video of Muchhal’s airport appearance has been widely circulated on social media platforms.
Adding to the complexities, allegations recently emerged that Muchhal had “cheated” on Mandhana. Screenshots of alleged chats involving Muchhal went viral online. These claims remain unconfirmed, and neither Muchhal nor Mandhana has publicly addressed them.
Muchhal’s mother, however, spoke to Hindustan Times about the postponement. She stated that Muchhal was the first to suggest postponing the wedding due to Mandhana’s father’s health. She highlighted his close relationship with Mandhana’s father. She also confirmed that the wedding between Palaash and Smriti will proceed soon.
In a curious development, both Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal recently updated their Instagram bios. Both added the ‘Nazar’ (evil eye) emoji. Users speculate this shared emoji is a symbolic gesture to ward off negative attention or bad luck surrounding their postponed nuptials.
