On its opening day, Zootopia 2 collected an estimated $191,850 across India. The film was released in Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu versions.
Saturday brought a substantial boost in viewership and revenue. Box office figures climbed to approximately $389,700, more than doubling the first day’s take.
The momentum continued into Sunday. The film earned around $394,500 as of reporting, reflecting consistent audience engagement.
This brought Zootopia 2‘s total three-day collection in India to approximately $976,000. The performance highlights a growing appetite for animated features in the Indian market.
Globally, Zootopia 2 carries a substantial production budget of approximately $159 million. The film’s international performance, particularly in the United States and other regions, is reportedly strong.
A key factor contributing to the film’s success in India is the involvement of actress Shraddha Kapoor. She lent her voice to the lead character, Judy Hopps, in the Hindi version.
Kapoor’s dubbing has garnered significant praise on social media platforms. Fans expressed excitement over her first major voice-over role in a Hollywood animated project.
Jared Bush directed the film, continuing his involvement with the successful franchise. This marks Disney Animation Studios’ 64th feature film.
