Millie Bobby Brown has confirmed a subtle change to her name following her marriage to Jake Bongiovi and the recent adoption of their daughter. The actress, 21, now goes by Millie Bonnie Bongiovi.
The reveal occurred during a promotional interview for Stranger Things season 5, where Brown and her co-stars answered questions about each other in a YouTube video for VT.
Noah Schnapp, 21, Brown’s long-time best friend and godfather to her daughter, was asked her full name. He initially guessed "Millie Bonnie Brown."
Brown corrected him, stating her name had changed. She explained that "Millie Bonnie Bobby Brown Bongiovi" should be shortened.
"Leave the Bobby and leave the Brown. It’s just Millie Bonnie Bongiovi," she clarified. "That’s it."

Brown married Jake Bongiovi, 23, in 2024. They welcomed their first child via adoption the following year.
The experience has been "a beautiful and incredible journey," Brown told British Vogue in a profile published earlier this month. She added that "perspective is everything."
"The small things in life are so much more valuable," Brown stated. "Our days are filled with so much hugging, laughter, and love. It’s endless joy."
Brown also shared that she and Bongiovi split all parenting duties 50-50. She expressed gratitude for him as a life partner, calling him "the most incredible dad."
The couple has chosen not to reveal their daughter’s name or share photos of her face publicly. They intend to maintain this privacy.
Brown emphasized the importance of protecting her daughter and her story until she is old enough to decide whether to share it. She believes it is not her place to purposefully put her child in the public spotlight without consent.
"If one day she decides to share her personality with the world, as I did when I was young, that is something we would support," Brown said. "But right now, as she is so young… As her parents, it is our duty to protect her from that."
Brown and Bongiovi, son of Jon Bon Jovi, reside with their newborn on a farm in Georgia. Brown has called Atlanta home, where she filmed Stranger Things.
She previously addressed speculation that her move to the countryside was for aesthetics. Brown assured Vanity Fair in February that she lives there because she loves it.
She noted that if one does not "pick up horse poop" or "wash a cow" with their own hands, that life is not for them.
Brown and Bongiovi were aligned on their future plans from the outset of their relationship. She explained they discussed "political ideas," the type of family they wanted, their desired home, relationship, and career path.
"It’s a very big decision, and we wanted to make sure we were making the right one," she concluded. "I knew it. With him, it always felt right."
