Manchester United has secured a preliminary agreement to sign 17-year-old Colombian midfielder Cristian Orozco from Fortaleza FC, a move aimed at bringing a highly-touted young talent to the English club.
The deal for Orozco, considered a significant prospect in Colombian football, is reportedly valued at approximately $1 million.
Orozco is already en route to England to finalize the terms. He is traveling with Manchester United Lead Scout Giuseppe Antonaccio.
However, the official transfer cannot be completed until July 13. This date marks Orozco’s 18th birthday, at which point he will no longer be a minor.
Transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano reported details of the agreement and Orozco’s travel.
