The Delhi government has announced ‘120 Bahadur,’ a film depicting the valor of Indian soldiers, will be tax-free across the region. This decision honors the bravery displayed during the 1962 India-China War.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta made the announcement on her social media. She shared the film’s poster, declaring its tax-exempt status from November 28.

Actor-producer-director Farhan Akhtar expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Gupta. He stated on Instagram that the support will help the story of Major Shaitan Singh and his 120 soldiers reach a wider audience.

The film ‘120 Bahadur’ is based on the true story of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati and his 120 brave soldiers. These heroes of the 13 Kumaon Regiment’s Charlie Company fought against thousands of Chinese soldiers. They battled to their last breath in the extreme cold of -40 degrees Celsius during the Battle of Rezang La.
Farhan Akhtar stars in the film alongside Raashii Khanna, Vivian Bhatena, and Ankit Siwach. The movie has earned approximately $1.68 million USD to date. Its tax-free status is expected to draw in more viewers across Delhi.
