Jailed Ultras Leader’s Home Raided Again in Widespread Robbery, Assault Probe

Police in Portugal are conducting new searches targeting a jailed former leader of a prominent football fan group and other members, expanding an investigation into alleged group assaults and robbery.

The Criminal Investigation Division of Portugal’s Public Security Police initiated the searches Thursday.

They are targeting Fernando Madureira, the former leader of the Super Dragões, FC Porto’s main fan group.

Madureira has been in preventive detention since February 2024.

Searches also involve other members of the fan group.

Authorities issued 15 search warrants for locations including Gaia, Porto, and Santa Maria da Feira.

The investigation focuses on suspicions of group assaults and robbery.

These alleged crimes are believed to have occurred before Madureira’s current arrest in connection with “Operation Praetorian.”

Investigators allege Madureira and other individuals assaulted and robbed victims.

These incidents reportedly took place near Estádio do Dragão, the FC Porto stadium.

One item police are specifically seeking is a luxury watch.

The watch was allegedly stolen during an incident outside the stadium.
