Andrew Eyes Gil Vicente Podium: Set for Top 3 Club Appearances

Brazilian goalkeeper Andrew is on the cusp of making history at Portugal’s Gil Vicente, poised to enter the top three all-time appearance makers for the club at just 24 years old.

The 24-year-old has been an undisputed starter for four seasons since joining the Barcelos-based team five years ago. His consistent presence has already made him the current squad’s most capped player.

He has played 118 career games for Gil Vicente. If he completes the remaining 23 league matches of the current season, a norm in the top-tier Primeira Liga, his total appearances would reach 141.

This milestone would secure his place in the top three all-time Gil Vicente players by appearances. It would see him surpass former forwards Avto, Paulinho, and goalkeeper Adriano Facchini.

Andrew is already widely regarded as one of the club’s greatest goalkeepers. Only two players would remain ahead of him on the all-time list.

These are Rúben Fernandes, who recorded 203 appearances, and Fujimoto with 181 games. Fernandes currently plays for Farense, while Fujimoto is with Birmingham City.
