Cricketer Smriti Mandhana’s Wedding Postponed; Composer’s Cousin Defends Flirting Chat Claims

The postponed wedding of cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal remains a major talking point. Recent developments include a public defense from Muchhal’s cousin and new details regarding the initial reason for the delay.

Palash Muchhal’s cousin, Neeti Tak, recently posted on Instagram to support him. She shared photos from his mehndi and haldi ceremonies, some including Mandhana.

Tak stated that Palash is currently experiencing a “difficult phase.” She urged the public not to judge him without knowing the full truth.

Neeti Tak suggested that “technology has advanced far beyond humans,” implying that rumors might be misrepresenting the situation. She asked for prayers for Palash.

Palash Muchhal is currently hospitalized in Mumbai due to a viral infection. His sister, singer Palak Muchhal, was seen outside the hospital.

The wedding, originally set for November 23, was first reported as postponed due to Smriti Mandhana’s father’s sudden poor health. He has since been discharged from the hospital.

However, subsequent rumors have pointed to an alleged leaked chat as the reason for the postponement. In this chat, Palash reportedly flirted with a choreographer, Mary D’Costa.

The alleged chat also suggests Palash described his relationship with Smriti as “long distance” and nearing its end. This directly contrasts with earlier public displays of affection.

Palash had publicly proposed to Smriti in a stadium before their wedding festivities. He was also seen expressing affection for her during the sangeet and mehndi functions.

Neither Palash Muchhal nor his family has issued an official statement regarding the alleged chat. No new wedding date has been announced.
