The Deol family has officially announced a prayer meet for legendary actor Dharmendra. The event, titled “Zindagi Ka Jashn” (Celebration of Life), will honor his memory. It is scheduled for November 27, a Thursday, at 5:00 PM in Mumbai’s Taj Lands End hotel.
Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Hema Malini, and Esha Deol are collectively organizing the tribute.
The event is expected to draw a significant turnout from the film industry. Prominent figures like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Shatrughan Sinha are anticipated to attend.
Renowned singer Sonu Nigam will perform at the prayer meet. He will pay musical tribute to Dharmendra, as he previously did for late actor Satish Shah.
Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025, at his residence in Juhu, Mumbai. He had been in ill health for approximately one month leading up to his demise.

Despite his status as a former Member of Parliament and a recipient of a Padma award, Dharmendra’s funeral did not include state honors. This absence sparked discussions among fans and political observers. Sources close to the family indicated that the decision for a private, simple farewell was made by the family itself.
Fans will have a final opportunity to see Dharmendra on screen in director Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming film, “Ikkees.” Raghavan noted Dharmendra’s exceptional energy during filming, despite his advanced age and health challenges.
