Priyanka Chopra Remembers Late Dharmendra: He Felt Shy About Being Called Beautiful

Among those remembering the iconic star is actress Priyanka Chopra, who made her Bollywood debut alongside Dharmendra’s son, Sunny Deol. Chopra recently shared a poignant video clip on her Instagram story, offering a glimpse into Dharmendra’s humble personality.

The clip, originating from a 2018 interview with the BBC, captures Dharmendra discussing his feelings about being called handsome. “The more you tell me I am beautiful, the more embarrassed I feel,” he confessed. “I wonder what it is. Then I think if people say it, it must be true. I keep finding flaws even in my qualities. I hope I don’t lose the smile my well-wishers have given me.”

He further reflected on the various monikers fans had given him over the years. “They call me many things, ‘He-Man,’ ‘Garam Dharam,’ and sometimes even ‘Greek God,'” he recounted. “Those who love want love. I feel that you all have embraced me in your hearts.” This sentiment underscored his deep connection with his admirers, valuing their affection above all else.

Chopra’s tribute highlighted her personal connection to the veteran actor. She had previously posted an old photograph on Instagram, depicting her receiving an award from Dharmendra.
