Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has paid a heartfelt tribute to the legendary actor Dharmendra, whose passing has left the entertainment industry in mourning. Khan remembered the veteran as a father figure, expressing profound gratitude for his blessings and love.
He stated that Dharmendra’s death is an irreplaceable loss for his family and cinema lovers worldwide. Khan shared these sentiments in an emotional post on his Instagram account.
The post featured a picture of Dharmendra affectionately embracing him. Shah Rukh Khan’s caption read, “RIP Dharam ji. You were like a father to me. Thank you for the way you blessed and loved me. This is an irreplaceable loss not only for his family but for cinema and film lovers around the world. You are immortal, and your soul will always live on through your films and your beautiful family. Will always love you.”
The wider film fraternity also gathered to pay their last respects to Dharmendra. Shah Rukh Khan was seen exiting the cremation grounds. Many other prominent personalities attended the funeral.
These included Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Salim Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Deepika Padukone.
Fans will get a final chance to see Dharmendra on screen in the upcoming film ‘Ikkiis’. The movie is set to be released on December 25. It will also feature Agastya Nanda.
