Charlie Kirk’s Wife Erika: Prayed for Pregnancy Before His Murder

Erika Kirk, wife of the late Charlie Kirk, recently revealed her deep desire to expand their family before his tragic death earlier this year. She shared that she had been praying to be pregnant when he was fatally shot.

“We wanted four [children],” Erika stated during a recent discussion with Megyn Kelly. “I was asking God to be pregnant when he was murdered.”

Erika, who shared two children with Charlie, expressed that both were “very excited about expanding our family.” She views having another baby now as “the greatest blessing from this catastrophe.”

She urged young couples not to delay starting a family. “Especially if you are a young woman, don’t put it off,” she advised. “You can always have a career, you can always go back to work. You can never just go back to having children.”

Charlie Kirk, a controversial conservative commentator and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was tragically killed at 31 years old. He was shot while speaking at Utah Valley University on September 10.

He was rushed to a hospital but later died from his injuries. Turning Point USA announced his passing in a statement, noting, “Charlie departed for his eternal reward with Jesus Christ in heaven.”

Charlie and Erika first met in September 2018 and became engaged in December 2020. They married in May 2021.

Their family grew with the birth of their daughter, Sarah Rose, in August 2022, followed by a son in May 2024, whose name has not been disclosed.

Megyn Kelly offered comfort to Erika during their discussion. She assured Erika that “someday” her son and daughter “will discover they are Charlie Kirk’s children” and “will know what that means.”
