Comedian Nuno Markl’s Dog Chiclete Appears to Sense Impending Stroke

Portuguese humorist Nuno Markl’s recent stroke has sparked widespread social media discussion, with many users pointing to his dog’s unusual behavior just hours before his hospitalization as a possible premonition of the health emergency.

Markl shared an image on Instagram showing his dog, Chiclete, lying on his chest and reportedly refusing to move. The post was made on the same day he was later admitted to the hospital.

In the accompanying caption, the humorist wrote, “I think Chiclete understood that there’s no Taskmaster recording today and now I’m buried by a dog who doesn’t allow me to move a millimeter from here.”

Many followers subsequently viewed the image and its caption as a clear indicator of the animal’s potential ability to sense an impending health crisis. They highlighted Chiclete’s position, described as “glued to his chest, in a gesture of apparent protection.”

Markl is widely known in Portugal as a humorist and the author of the popular program “O Homem que Mordeu o Cão” (The Man Who Bit the Dog).
