The adult comedy film ‘Masti 4’ has struggled at the box office, failing to meet audience expectations during its opening weekend. Released three days ago, the movie delivered a significantly underperforming collection.
The film, starring Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani, secured a total of approximately $913,200 (₹7.61 crore) over its first three days. This figure represents a dismal start against its reported production budget of around $3 million (₹25 crore).

‘Masti 4’ opened on Friday with a collection of $330,000 (₹2.75 crore). Saturday saw no growth, holding at the same $330,000 (₹2.75 crore) mark.
The third day, Sunday, brought a decline, with earnings dropping to $253,200 (₹2.11 crore). This lack of weekend momentum is concerning for distributors.

Typically, Saturday is a day for growth in box office numbers. However, ‘Masti 4’ did not see any increase due to weak audience reception and an average word-of-mouth response.

The film’s plot centers on three friends, Amar, Meet, and Prem, whose married lives have become boring. A friend named Kamraj introduces them to the concept of a “love visa,” granting freedom from their wives.
This leads to arguments, followed by the wives eventually agreeing to the idea. The narrative then unfolds through a series of comedic misunderstandings and frantic situations.

In addition to the main trio, the cast includes Elnaaz Norouzi, Nargis Fakhri, Arshad Warsi, and Natalia Janoszek in significant roles. Despite a colorful cast, weak writing and a rehashed formula prevented the film from drawing audiences to theaters.

Looking ahead, expectations for weekday collections are even lower. While an improvement in word-of-mouth could potentially help the film recover some of its cost, the current trajectory suggests a challenging path for ‘Masti 4’.
