Sai Pallavi’s presence at IFFI was due to her film ‘Amaran’. The movie, co-starring Sivakarthikeyan, received significant recognition at the festival. It was chosen as the opening film for the Indian Panorama section and was nominated for the Golden Peacock award in the international competition.
‘Amaran’ is a biographical drama based on the real-life story of Major Mukund Varman. Sivakarthikeyan plays the lead role, with Sai Pallavi portraying his wife, Sindhu. The film depicts the soldier’s life and sacrifices. Both actors’ performances in the film have been highly praised.
Beyond ‘Amaran’, Sai Pallavi has a high-profile role in the upcoming epic ‘Ramayana: Part 1’. She is cast as Sita.
The first part of ‘Ramayana’ is slated for a Diwali 2026 release, with ‘Part 2’ expected during Diwali 2027. Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Ram, Yash will be Raavan, Sunny Deol will play Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey will appear as Lakshman.
