A beloved three-time world champion in Counter-Strike, Lincoln “fnx” Lau, was briefly “arrested” on live television as part of a pre-planned prank before leading his team to victory at the inaugural All Star League tournament.
The humorous “arrest” of Lau, known by his gamertag fnx, occurred Thursday, November 20, during the All Star League (ASL) event. Production staff staged the incident, referencing a popular, long-running community meme about fnx being taken into custody.

Lau, a seasoned esports veteran with multiple championship titles, later secured his “revanche” by captaining his team, Yakuza, to triumph in the tournament. Yakuza defeated team CODEX with a 2-1 score.
The win marked Yakuza as the first-ever champions of the All Star League, a significant milestone for the new competitive event.
