CMAs Fuel Riley Green-Megan Moroney-Ella Langley Love Triangle Rumors

A moment at the 2025 CMA Awards sparked renewed speculation among country music fans. The camera notably panned to singer Megan Moroney during a significant award presentation.

Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley announced the winners for Single of the Year. Ella Langley and Riley Green accepted the award for their song, “You Look Like You Love Me.”

Green, 37, and Langley, 26, embraced and held hands while on stage. The camera then shifted focus to Moroney, 28, who was seated in the audience.

This camera shot quickly became a viral topic on social media. One TikTok user posted, “CMA’s… you guys are a mess!” on Wednesday, November 19.

Fans suggested the cameraman intentionally highlighted the situation. Others expressed confusion over the moment.

For months, rumors have circulated about a potential love triangle involving Green, Moroney, and Langley. Questions remain about what, if anything, truly happened.

After Green and Langley released their duet in June 2024, fans linked them romantically. Both musicians promptly denied these rumors.

Langley spoke about her relationship with Green in September 2024. She told Taste of Country that Green was "probably the first famous person I ever met." She added, "He played the same bars I played, and I played the same bars he played. It’s cool to see Alabama people succeeding."

Langley emphasized, "We’re not a couple. We’re just good friends.”

Green echoed this sentiment in December 2024 on the “Viall Files” podcast. He joked, “Ella probably is too smart to date me.”

He noted that country music fans often desire a romantic narrative for duets. He told Langley that people would speculate, but they didn’t need to engage with the talk.

Moroney has been romantically linked to Green since late 2023. This speculation arose after they appeared to post images from the same vacation on social media. Neither Green nor Moroney has publicly addressed these specific rumors.

Green confirmed his single status in March on the “In the Blind” podcast.

Langley also appeared to downplay any drama between herself and Moroney. In June, she commented “Slay” on a TikTok video discussing the alleged feud.

The original TikTok user had stated, "Personally I don’t think there’s any issues, I think everyone just jumps on the narrative train."

Moroney has mostly kept her private life out of the spotlight. However, in March, she stated she has no time for dating.

She told Rolling Stone, "I couldn’t imagine having gone through the past year if I was sad and crying over a boy." Moroney added that she is currently focused on her career.
