Georgina Rodríguez recently stepped out at a White House dinner, making a striking fashion statement. The fiancée of football star Cristiano Ronaldo wore a navy blue gown that echoed an iconic Oscar look.
Rodríguez, 31, later shared details of the outfit on Instagram on Wednesday, November 19. She posted a photo of the elegant dress, followed by an image of Hilary Swank wearing the identical design. Swank, 51, first donned the dress at the 2005 Oscars.
The Guy Laroche creation featured long sleeves, a high neckline, and a fitted bodice that flowed into a floor-length skirt. Its design was notably complemented by a completely open back, extending to the hips, and a pleated train.
For her White House appearance, Rodríguez received a full glam treatment. Renowned makeup artist Patrick Ta, 33, crafted a luminous base with extra flushed cheeks and highlighter. Her eye makeup was soft and glamorous, featuring bronze shadow blended on her lids, finished with defined brows and long lashes. Shiny lips completed the look.
Stylist Dimitris Giannetos handled her hair, creating a polished, pulled-back updo. Her tresses were styled to the side and twisted into an elegant bun. Rodríguez accessorized her ensemble with diamond and sapphire earrings, adding a touch of sparkle.
When Swank wore the dress nearly two decades ago, she also opted for soft brown eyeshadow and shiny lips. She paired the gown with diamond earrings and similarly styled her brown hair in a chic updo, allowing the dress to take center stage.
Rodríguez has previously garnered attention for her significant engagement ring from Ronaldo, 50. In August, she posted a photo of the impressive piece on Instagram. The ring features a large oval-cut stone flanked by side stones set on a silver band.
Engagement ring specialist Laura Taylor shared insights into the ring’s details. She described it as an extraordinary piece, appearing to be a 15 to 20-carat oval-cut diamond. Taylor noted the significant side diamonds further enhance the main stone’s brilliance.
Taylor estimated that if the diamond is natural, of exceptional quality (within the D-F color range), and has flawless or near-flawless clarity, its value could easily exceed $2 million.
Neil Dutta, managing director of Angelic Diamonds, offered an even higher appraisal. He estimated the ring to be around 30 carats. Dutta suggested a potential value between $3.7 million and $4.9 million for a ring of this caliber. He compared its prominence to engagement rings worn by celebrities like Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian, calling it “worth the wait.”
Ronaldo and Rodríguez began their relationship in 2016 and have since welcomed three children together. Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., now 15, was born in 2010, though the mother’s identity has not been publicly revealed.
In 2017, around the time he started dating Rodríguez, Ronaldo had twins Eva and Mateo, both now 8, via surrogacy. Weeks after their birth, the couple announced Rodríguez was pregnant with their daughter Alana, also now 8.
In 2021, the couple shared they were expecting twins. Their daughter, Bella, now 3, was born healthy, but tragically, their son Ángel passed away. Ronaldo expressed his profound grief on Instagram at the time. “With our greatest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away,” he wrote. “It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.” Ronaldo currently plays for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
