Ariana Grande Fuses Glinda, Elphaba Styles for Wicked Premiere Gown

Ariana Grande debuted a captivating style at the New York City premiere of Wicked: For Good, drawing inspiration from both Glinda and Elphaba. The actress attended the event on Monday, November 17, showcasing a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown.

Her striking outfit featured a black corset, nodding to Elphaba’s signature color. The top included a strapless sweetheart neckline, delicate lace appliques, and a peplum waist.

Grande paired the black corset with a voluminous pink skirt, a clear homage to her character Glinda. The skirt was fashioned from layers of pleated tulle.

Her beauty look complemented the ensemble with defined brows, light pink eyeshadow, and long lashes. She also sported rosy cheeks, a subtly contoured nose, and glossy, lined pink lips.

Grande’s newly dyed brown hair was styled in a voluminous ponytail. Gelled side fringe framed her face, and a black bow added an elegant touch. Long diamond earrings completed her accessories.

At the premiere, Grande posed alongside costar Cynthia Erivo, 38, who also made a powerful statement. Erivo wore a black Balenciaga ensemble.

Erivo’s look featured a shiny top adorned with a feather detail that extended from her chest and arms. The long-sleeved top flowed into a fitted waist and a low-rise pleated A-line skirt.

Erivo initially wore a black eye mask, which she later removed to reveal smoky eyeshadow, long lashes, and pink lips. Diamond earrings and a silver septum piercing added further glamor.

Throughout the Wicked: For Good press tour, Grande has predominantly favored black outfits. This marks a shift from the previous film’s promotional tour, where she often wore pink.

For the London premiere, Grande chose a 1952 Gilbert Adrian design. This elegant piece featured an asymmetrical neckline, a fitted bodice, and a layered A-line skirt with delicate black appliques. She accessorized with a diamond necklace and small earrings.

Following the London premiere, Grande was seen in another vintage black dress. This 1950s model included a sheer bodice embellished with white flowers and a layered black tulle skirt. She completed the look with Christian Louboutin strappy high heels and a timeless updo.

While black has been a dominant color, Grande has also embraced vibrant pinks for certain appearances. At the Governors Awards on Sunday, November 16, she wore a 2007 Christian Dior by John Galliano gown.

The dress featured a one-shoulder neckline, a column skirt, and a flowing side train. It was covered in crystal appliques, which Grande paired with Swarovski pink rings and small earrings.

Grande also chose a pink ensemble after the Singapore premiere. She posed in a custom Balenciaga design detailed with sequins.
