Chinese smartphone maker OPPO has unveiled its new Reno15 series in China, aiming for the premium segment with a focus on advanced camera capabilities and extended battery performance.
The new lineup includes the standard Reno15 and the higher-end Reno15 Pro, both featuring a sophisticated triple-camera system. Central to the photography experience is a 200-megapixel main sensor.
This primary camera utilizes a 1/1.56-inch sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS). It is complemented by a 50-megapixel periscope zoom lens offering 3.5x optical zoom with OIS, alongside a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens.
Powering both devices is the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. This processor is built on 4-nanometer technology.
The Dimensity 8450 integrates an 8-core CPU configuration. This includes one ARM Cortex A725 core clocked at up to 3.25 GHz for demanding tasks, three A725 cores at 3.00 GHz for general high performance, and four A725 cores at 2.10 GHz for power-efficient operations.
The standard OPPO Reno15 features a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,640 x 1,216 pixels. It supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and reaches a peak brightness of 3,600 nits. An under-display fingerprint sensor and a 50-megapixel selfie camera are also included.
The Reno15 comes equipped with a 6,200 mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. Its metal frame boasts IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, protecting against high-pressure water at temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius.
Other features of the standard model include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, stereo speakers, and ColorOS 16, which is based on Android 16. The device weighs 188 grams.
The OPPO Reno15 Pro offers an upgraded experience with a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, also featuring a 120 Hz refresh rate and 3,600 nits peak brightness. It shares the 50-megapixel selfie camera and under-display fingerprint sensor with the standard model.
The Pro variant maintains the same triple-camera setup but boosts battery capacity slightly to 6,500 mAh. It supports both 80W fast charging and adds 50W wireless charging.
Most other specifications for the Reno15 Pro mirror the standard model, including the IP68+IP69 rating and software. The Pro model is slightly heavier at 205 grams.
The OPPO Reno15 is available in Aurora Blue, Canele Brown, and Starlight colors. Pricing starts at approximately $413 (2,999 Chinese Yuan) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration.
Other Reno15 configurations include 12GB RAM/512GB storage at $454 (3,299 CNY), 16GB RAM/256GB storage at $454 (3,299 CNY), 16GB RAM/512GB storage at $495 (3,599 CNY), and a top-tier 16GB RAM/1TB storage option for $550 (3,999 CNY).
The OPPO Reno15 Pro comes in Canele Brown, Honey Gold, and Starlight. Its pricing begins at around $509 (3,699 CNY) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model.
