Brazilian esports powerhouse FURIA secured its spot in the BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 2 Counter-Strike 2 grand final in Hong Kong on Saturday, sweeping domestic rival paiN Gaming 2-0.
The victory followed a dominant performance, highlighted by star player Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato’s crucial contribution in the second map.
FURIA will now contend for the international title against either Falcons or Vitality, who are set to play in the second semifinal.
In the opening map, Nuke, a choice by paiN, FURIA quickly established control, winning 13-3 and taking an early lead in the best-of-three series.
The second map, Overpass, chosen by FURIA, saw a more contested battle. Despite falling behind 11-4, FURIA mounted a dramatic comeback, pushing the game into overtime.
They ultimately closed out Overpass with a 16-12 score, securing the 2-0 series win. KSCERATO delivered an impressive 30 kills on this map, turning the tide for his team.
