Buriram United Esports Claims First FFWS Title; Brazil’s World Title Bid Fails

Buriram United Esports claimed its first-ever Free Fire World Series – Global Finals championship on Saturday, securing the prestigious title and a significant prize while ending Brazil’s hopes for a fourth world crown.

The Thai organization, Buriram United Esports, marked its inaugural victory in the global Free Fire tournament. The win concluded the 2025 FFWS Global Finals.

As champions, Buriram United Esports was awarded $300,000 USD from the tournament’s total prize pool of $1.15 million USD.

Mariwat “Wassana” Panyawai, a player for Buriram United Esports, was honored as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the finals.

Brazilian team Fluxo, a strong contender, had reached the 80 Champion Points required for victory earlier in the finals. Despite their efforts, a subsequent early elimination in a critical match cleared the path for Buriram United Esports to clinch the title.
