Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus Vows Palmeiras Return Post-Injury

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has stated his intention to return to Brazilian club Palmeiras later in his career, while underscoring his immediate commitment to his current club as he recovers from surgery.

Speaking to ‘Revista Placar’, the 28-year-old forward confirmed he has had no contact with other clubs. He reiterated his long-standing desire to play for Palmeiras again, a sentiment he said is reciprocated by the Brazilian team.

“There has never been any contact with another club, and my desire, as I’ve always said, is to return to Palmeiras,” Jesus said. “And Palmeiras’ desire is for me to return there.”

Jesus stressed that his current focus is on regaining full fitness. He highlighted that leaving Arsenal now would be illogical given his ongoing recovery from a complex surgical procedure.

“When I feel it’s time to return to Palmeiras, I will define that with Arsenal,” he added. “But we are talking about a player who has been sidelined for nine months and is fighting to return to the team. At a time when I am returning from such a complex surgery, it makes no sense to leave here.”

The Brazilian international has been sidelined for nine months, battling to make his full return to the Arsenal squad.
