Thailand’s 42nd Motor Expo, scheduled for late 2025, is set to feature intense competition among 42 car brands, with a strong emphasis on Chinese automakers, as organizers urge participants to ensure activities align with current societal situations.
Kwanchai Paphatphong, president of the organizing committee, announced the event will run under the theme “The Magnificent Motor Expo.” He emphasized the need for all activities to reflect current sensibilities.
The show, featuring manufacturers from eight countries, is expected to be dominated by a robust presence of Chinese brands. These include AION, AVATR, BYD, CHERY, DEEPAL, DENZA, GAC, GEELY, GWM, XPENG, and ZEEKR.
These companies will contend with established European, Japanese, and American automotive giants. In the two-wheel segment, 16 motorcycle brands from seven countries, such as BMW Motorrad, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, and Yamaha, will also be showcased.
The event will also include a premium used car zone featuring vehicles from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Volvo.
To attract attendees, the expo is offering four major prize draws. Visitors who reserve or purchase a new car will have a chance to win an AVATR 11 Standard Range, valued at approximately $57,500 USD.
Ticket buyers are entered to win a Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate, worth about $29,000 USD. Those purchasing a new motorcycle could win a Suzuki GSX-8R, valued around $11,500 USD.
Additionally, users who register and complete a survey via the Motor Expo app are eligible to win a Wuling Binguo DC Icon, worth approximately $11,750 USD.
For an enhanced experience, the “Motor Expo Exclusive Visitor” package is available for approximately $27 USD. This includes an Ultimate VIP entry ticket, three hours of complimentary VIP parking, access to a special lounge, a guided car tour with brand sales staff, and a 10% discount on souvenirs.
Other planned activities include a 4×4 test drive track, a child traffic safety training program called Skill Driving Experience Junior, and an exhibition of rare vintage cars. A dedicated boat display zone will also be featured.
The 42nd Motor Expo is slated to take place from November 29 to December 10, 2025, at Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
