Cardi B has officially become a mother of four, welcoming her first child with boyfriend Stefon Diggs. The music star, 33, announced the news on Thursday, November 13, via an Instagram post.
In her emotional caption, Cardi B reflected on her life’s journey. She described this new baby as part of a fresh chapter, alongside new music and an album.
"My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons," she wrote. "My last chapter was the beginning of a new season. Starting over is never easy, but it has been so worth it! I brought new music and a new album into the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love myself more than anything or anyone else, to be able to continue giving my children the love and life they deserve."
She added that this new era is about "me against me" and preparing for a tour. "I have learned, I have healed, and I love the woman I have become," Cardi stated.
Cardi B shares her three older children, Kulture (born July 2018), Wave (born September 2021), and Blossom (born September 2024), with rapper Offset. This new arrival marks her fourth child overall and first with Diggs.
Cardi had previously confirmed her pregnancy with Diggs. She revealed the news during an interview on CBS Mornings, stating, "I’m going to have a baby with my boyfriend."
At the time, Diggs subtly addressed "baby rumors" during an NFL press conference. When asked about his personal life, he responded, "We won’t talk much about my personal life, but I found out about that."
He was cautious when questioned about celebrating with his New England Patriots teammates. "We’ll see," Diggs replied.
Diggs later commented on Cardi’s Instagram account, declaring himself "100 percent team boy." Later that month, Cardi also hinted at the baby’s gender in her song "On My Back."
The lyrics included, "I told my girl I’m going to give this man a boy / Throw me on my back."
In past interviews, Cardi also offered rare details about her relationship with Diggs, with whom she was first linked in 2024. She spoke about feeling "strong" and "powerful" while balancing her career and pregnancy.
Cardi stated that Diggs makes her "feel safe, very confident, and very strong." She quoted him saying, "’Let me heal you. Give me a chance to heal you.’"
She added that she wanted to "close some deals first" before making her pregnancy public.
Cardi has also previously hinted during a TV appearance that she was open to the next step with Diggs. "I would marry again. I believe in love. I’m a hopeless romantic," she said.
She has spoken candidly about her prior childbirth experiences. She revealed suffering vaginal tears during her first two deliveries. "It was hard," she recalled on a podcast, noting her third delivery was "very easy." "Now things are just a little different and I have more experience."
