Mystery Solved: Royals Opt-Out Triggered Kardashian Photo Deletion

The mystery surrounding the deletion of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s photos from Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party now appears resolved.

According to Tom Sykes of The Royalist Substack, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex marked “no” on a photo consent form. This form was reportedly received by them prior to the celebration.

Choosing “no” signified the royal couple’s preference that photos of them inside the event not be shared publicly.

Sykes reported on November 12 that someone on the Kardashian-Jenner social media team overlooked this specific request. This oversight led to the couple appearing in photos posted by both Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner on November 10.

These images were subsequently removed quickly from social media platforms.

Despite the initial posting, Sykes indicated that Harry and Meghan “were not particularly bothered” by the photos appearing online.

However, other reports offer different explanations. TMZ suggested that multiple photos were deleted, not solely those featuring Harry and Meghan. The outlet noted that it was Remembrance Day in the United Kingdom, implying it “might be better” to remove the royal images.

Conversely, a source with knowledge of the event told Us Weekly that they were unaware of any photo consent forms for guests. Us Weekly has reached out to the Sussex team for further comment.

The birthday celebration for Kris Jenner was a surprise gathering organized by her children: Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, Rob, Kendall, and Kylie.

The Kardashian-Jenner family chose a “James Bond” theme for the party. The theme was selected because “007” contains the same numbers as Jenner’s milestone age.

Harry and Meghan were photographed arriving at the party on Saturday, November 8. The event took place at the Beverly Hills mansion of Jeff Bezos and his partner Lauren Sanchez.

Meghan wore an elegant black turtleneck dress featuring a high slit. Harry opted for a velvet tuxedo and black trousers, adorned with a poppy on his lapel in honor of Remembrance Day.

Kim Kardashian, 45, initially shared a carousel of party photos on Instagram on Monday, November 10. Her caption read, “KASINO ROYALE 🍸.”

One specific image in Kim’s post showed her and Meghan smiling together. Harry was visible in the background, conversing with another guest.

Meghan soon disappeared from Kim’s social media feed after the photos were published.

Kris Jenner also shared her own album of celebration photos on Monday. Her caption expressed it was a “Magical night celebrating my 70th birthday with my beautiful family and friends.”

Initially, Kris’s post included a photo of herself with Meghan and Harry, but this image was also removed.

Despite the photo incident, Kris Jenner continued to enjoy her birthday festivities. She shared multiple posts about her special day, including photos with Kathie Lee Gifford and Mariah Carey.

“One of the best nights of my entire life,” Kris later wrote in another Instagram post. She added, “I feel more than lucky and so grateful for my precious family and friends! ❤️🖤.”

While the casino-themed party photos of Harry and Meghan have been deleted, the couple has maintained a high public profile recently.

They were seen smiling during Game 4 of the World Series on October 28. This game saw the Los Angeles Dodgers face the Toronto Blue Jays at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

Both Meghan, a Los Angeles native, and Harry wore Dodgers caps to support the team.

The couple also had a busy Saturday, November 8. After attending Kris Jenner’s birthday, they also went to the annual Baby2Baby gala in West Hollywood that same evening. They posed for photos with Serena Williams, who hosted the charity event.
