Latin GRAMMYs 2025 Unveil 10 Best New Artist Nominees

The 26th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will take place on November 13 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. While major categories like “Record of the Year” and “Album of the Year” draw significant attention, the “Best New Artist” award remains a highlight.

This year, ten promising talents from across Latin America and Spain are nominated for the coveted golden phonograph. The diverse group reflects a rich tapestry of genres and artistic expressions shaping the future of Latin music.

Colombian singer and DJ Annasofía blends pop, dance, and electronic music with contemporary Latin rhythms. Her distinct sound and stage presence mark her as a rising figure in both music and modeling. She is also slated to appear on Univision’s “Noche de Estrellas” pre-show.

Brazil is strongly represented with two nominees. Juliane Gamboa, a singer, songwriter, and teacher based in Rio de Janeiro, released her album ‘Jazzwoman’ in 2024. It features a unique fusion of jazz and traditional Brazilian sounds.

Fellow Brazilian Sued Nunes, a singer and songwriter, emerged in 2021 with a style combining Portuguese and Latin rhythms. She showcases talent not only as a vocalist but also as a guitarist and model.

From the United States with Latin roots, Isadora blends pop, R&B, and tropical rhythms. She uses her social media platforms to share her creative process, intimate messages, and commitment to social causes.

Venezuelan singer Allez Mezher has captivated audiences with “merenguetón,” a vibrant blend of merengue and reggaeton. Since his 2022 debut single ‘Baby Guaya,’ his following has grown to nearly one million across Instagram and TikTok.

Spanish guitarist and singer-songwriter Yerai Cortés offers a more intimate and emotional sound. The 30-year-old artist completed a successful tour across Spain in 2025, concluding in Barcelona in December. He has over 80,000 followers.

Mexico also boasts two nominees. Marian Ruzzi, known as Ruzzi, from Chihuahua, incorporates piano, guitar, and the essence of regional Mexican music into her work. Her authentic sound has garnered a loyal fan base.

Paloma Murphy, 25, is recognized for her powerful voice and emotional lyrics. Her album ‘Au’ and single ‘Lo que un día fue’ have positioned her as a strong contender for the award.

Camila Guevara, 24, from Cuba, carries a significant musical legacy as the granddaughter of Pablo Milanés. Her album ‘Dame flores’ explores son, trova, and pop, connecting with audiences across various countries.

Alex Luna, a singer from Cancún, Mexico, combines pop, regional Mexican, and R&B. His album ‘Futuralgia’ has earned him recognition and a growing audience, including over 14,000 Instagram followers.

Ahead of the main ceremony, Univision will broadcast “Noche de Estrellas” live. Raúl de Molina, Chiqui Delgado, Borja Voces, and Alejandra Espinoza will host the pre-show, providing analysis and welcoming artists on the red carpet.
