Akon has arrived in India to kick off his highly anticipated 2025 concert tour. The acclaimed American singer, known for his global hits, will perform in three cities across the country.
His first stop is Delhi, where he landed with his wife, Tomeka Thiam. The couple was seen at the airport, posing for waiting paparazzi.
When asked about his excitement, Akon mentioned being tired from the long flight. His wife, however, enthusiastically declared, “India, I love you!”
Following his performance in Delhi, Akon is scheduled to perform in Bengaluru on November 14. He will then conclude his tour in Mumbai on November 16.
Akon has delivered numerous chart-topping tracks, including “Right Now,” “I Wanna Love You,” “Smack That,” “Lonely,” “Beautiful,” and “Don’t Matter.” He is also widely recognized in India for his 2011 hit “Chammak Challo.” The song, featured in the film ‘Ra.One’, became a massive success and showcased Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
