Rangers Clinch 3-0 Win at Dundee, Third Straight Scottish League Victory

Scottish club Rangers secured a dominant domestic victory over Dundee on Sunday, offering a stark contrast to their dire performance in the UEFA Europa League ahead of a critical home match against Portugal’s Sporting Braga.

Rangers defeated Dundee 3-0 in the Scottish Premiership’s 12th round. This marked their third consecutive league win, boosting their domestic standing. Goals came from Nicolas Raskin in the ninth minute, Mikey Moore in the 14th minute, and Djeidi Gassama in the 90th minute.

Despite their strong domestic form, Rangers have endured a dismal Europa League campaign, currently languishing in 36th and last position in the league phase. The Scottish side has failed to secure any points across four matches.

Their most recent European defeat was a 2-0 loss to Roma. Rangers will host Sporting Braga on November 27 for the fifth round, a match where they are still desperately seeking their first points.

The win over Dundee at Dens Park lifted Rangers to fourth place in the Scottish championship with 18 points. They are level with third-placed Hibernian but have played one fewer game, and are 12 points behind league leaders Hearts.

Sporting Braga arrives in a stronger Europa League position, despite a recent setback. The Portuguese club sits fifth with nine points, three behind leader Midtjylland.

Braga had won three consecutive matches in the competition, placing them in shared leadership, before suffering their first defeat. That loss came at home to Belgian side Genk with a 4-3 scoreline in their last outing.

Portuguese player Youssef Chermiti was called up for Rangers in the second half of the match against Dundee.
